    The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner who will be able to develop and help drive forward our agenda of continuous improvement.

    This is a permanent, full-time role.

    The salary for this role is MPS/UPS, dependent on experience.

    This is an exciting time to join The Howard with a number of significant changes planned for the future that will support our move towards excellence. We opened a new Science and DT block in November 2021, which saw a fantastic £5m investment in The Howard School from the Department of Education. This state-of-the-art block has been a hit with pupils and staff, helping the pupils to further their learning in a purpose built environment.

  • Teacher of English (£5k Golden Hello)

    The Howard School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher of English who is committed to excellence from September 2024.

    This is a full time, permanent, Term Time Only position, paid on the basis of the School Teachers Pay & Conditions MPS/UPS, dependent on experience. The working week consists of 32.5 hours, Monday - Friday.

    The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5k. This is split into the following payments - £2.5k subject to the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period, and a further £2.5k to be paid as a retention incentive. This is subject to the successful candidate remaining at the school for at least that next year.

    The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner who will be able to contribute to the development of our thriving English Department and help drive forward our agenda of continuous improvement. This role has the opportunity for an R+R for additional responsibility within the department or whole school responsibility for the right candidate.
