Thank you for your interest in The Howard School at what I think is a very exciting time to be part of the school’s community. As part of The Howard Academy Trust, we are committed to a shared moral purpose; to make a positive difference to the lives of the young people in our community.
The Howard School is a highly inclusive school community where every individual matters. High levels of discipline ensure everyone is expected to work hard and make a positive contribution to the learning environment. The school has been recognised as a Rights Respecting School at Gold Level by UNICEF, the only secondary school in Kent or Medway to receive such an award.
"Pupils enjoy school and feel valued. The school is inclusive with a real sense of community. Relationships between pupils, and between pupils and staff, are a real strength."

Last Friday and Saturday, our students had an AMAZING time at the Model United Nations conference at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Faversham! Alongside The Abbey, we were one of the only non-grammar schools there, joining top schools like Simon Langton Boys, Dane Court Grammar, Oakwood Park Grammar, and QE Grammar. This was our first ever MUN, now in its fifth year – and we couldn't be prouder of how our students represented us! Students were assigned countries, joined committees, debated real-world political issues, and created & presented resolutions like pros! They spoke confidently, made new friends, and really threw themselves into every debate. Special shoutout to our student who was highly commended during the committee stages – a fantastic achievement for our first conference! We had such a brilliant time, learnt loads, and can't wait for next year!

Theatre trip magic at The Marlowe! Despite standing in front of a massive Snow White poster, our students are actually here to see Dear England a powerful play all about Gareth Southgate, leadership, teamwork, and what it really means to represent your country. It's been amazing to see how the story blends football and drama to explore pride, pressure, and identity on and off the pitch. Huge thanks to The Marlowe for inspiring our students with such a brilliant piece of modern British theatre!
