Thank you for your interest in The Howard School at what I think is a very exciting time to be part of the school’s community. As part of The Howard Academy Trust, we are committed to a shared moral purpose; to make a positive difference to the lives of the young people in our community.
The Howard School is a highly inclusive school community where every individual matters. High levels of discipline ensure everyone is expected to work hard and make a positive contribution to the learning environment. The school has been recognised as a Rights Respecting School at Gold Level by UNICEF, the only secondary school in Kent or Medway to receive such an award.
"Pupils enjoy school and feel valued. The school is inclusive with a real sense of community. Relationships between pupils, and between pupils and staff, are a real strength."

A huge shoutout to the Year 6s who joined us on Friday for a sneak peek of life at The Howard School! From learning to tie ties , playing word games , getting stuck into ice breakers , and exploring the school on a site tour it was such a fun day! You all did brilliantly and we can't wait to see even more of you on Induction Day this Thursday!
What a brilliant day! On Friday, our Photography Ambassadors had an amazing time at a cyanotype workshop with Emily Rose Parris from The Darkroom at Beach Creative! Big thanks to Emily for sharing her skills and creativity – we're so lucky to have your support at The Howard School! The students got stuck in, had loads of fun, and created some seriously stunning prints using this cool historical photo process. Swipe to see some of the incredible work!
Our students arrived safely in La Rochelle after a late ferry journey across the Channel. Spirits were high as we explored the beautiful old town, with its historic towers and sun-soaked streets. A stop for some well-deserved ice cream was a highlight, and we also could have a refreshing dip in the pool to cool off after a day of travel and sightseeing. An amazing start to what promises to be an unforgettable trip! #SchoolTrip #LaRochelle2025 #TravelAndLearn #OldTownAdventures
