At the Howard School we have an outstanding record of Academic Success. The boys at the Howard School achieve GCSE results which are well above the national average for boys’ performance. 

We are the highest achieving non selective boys’ school in Medway and one of the highest in Kent. The success continues into 6^th form - our 6^th form results are also very strong. What makes us unique is that we have sustained this record of academic performance over a long period of time.  

Many of our staff are long standing members of staff who have committed a large part of their careers to the school and care deeply about the school and our students. We are experts at teaching and nurturing boys. Quite often in mixed schools boys underperform compared to Girls. At the Howard school our complete focus is on the boys and as a result they outperform boys at other non-selective boys’ schools and at other non-selective mixed schools. We expect very high standards of behaviour and have quite traditional values in expecting students to behave well and be polite and considerate to all members of the community and we work very hard to ensure that our students meet those expectations. We are experts at channelling boys' energy and enthusiasm towards their academic studies and wider personal and holistic development.

We do not rest on our laurels and are continually investigating ways to improve including visiting the best schools and academies in the country. Ultimately we work diligently and very hard to ensure that The Howard School student leaves with a strong Academic record and someone who is confident, polite and caring.
